Astrophotography and surfing

I started with a Nikon and a Newtonian reflector I built myself, and later shot deep-sky objects through Harvard's Clay Telescope. In high school I ran the astronomy club, and that interest turned into research: photometry of active Centaurs.

The sphere below shows where each photo on this page sits in the sky. The gold line is the ecliptic, the path the Sun, Moon and planets follow, which is why Saturn and Jupiter sit right on it. Drag to turn the sky and click a label to jump to the photo.
